Something Broke? Start Here
We work on tractors, skid steers, backhoes, excavators, loaders and dozers, including John Deere, Kubota, Bobcat, CAT and Case. Here are the problems we hear about most and what you can safely check before you call.
My tractor won’t start. What’s usually wrong?
Most of the time it’s a weak or corroded battery, a bad starter or safety switch, or air in the fuel lines after running low. Make sure it’s in neutral with the PTO off, and check that the battery cables are tight and clean. If it still won’t crank or fire, Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
My tractor died while I was using it. Why?
A tractor that quits mid-job is usually starving for fuel, from a clogged fuel filter, empty tank or water in the fuel, or it shut down from overheating or a safety switch. Check the fuel level and look for a warning light or a hot temperature gauge, and let it cool before trying again. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
My bucket won’t lift or the loader arms won’t go up. What’s going on?
It’s usually low hydraulic fluid, a leaking hose or fitting, a worn pump, or a stuck control valve. With the bucket on the ground and the engine off, check the hydraulic fluid level and look for wet spots or drips. Don’t get under raised arms. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
A hydraulic hose burst or it’s leaking hydraulic fluid. What should I do?
A burst hose is usually from age, sun and heat cracking, or rubbing against the frame. Shut the machine down, lower everything to the ground, and never feel for a leak with your hand, because pressurized fluid can inject under the skin. We carry hose and fittings on the truck, so call or text us at 520-205-1247. we come to you.
My PTO isn’t working. What could it be?
PTO problems usually come down to a safety switch, a blown fuse or bad wiring, a worn clutch, or a sheared pin on the driveline. With the engine off, check the fuse and look for a broken shear pin or damaged shaft. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
The track came off my machine. Can it be fixed in the field?
A thrown track is usually from a loose track, worn sprockets or idlers, or turning hard on rocky or uneven ground. Stop moving the machine so you don’t damage the track or undercarriage, and keep clear of the track tension cylinder. We re-track machines on site, so call or text us at 520-205-1247. we come to you.
My skid steer won’t move. Why?
It’s often a seat or lap bar safety switch, a parking brake that won’t release, low hydraulic fluid, or a drive motor or pump problem. Make sure you’re seated with the bar down and check the hydraulic fluid level and for error codes on the dash. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
My equipment keeps overheating in the Tucson heat. What should I check?
In the desert it’s usually a radiator packed with dirt and debris, low coolant, a bad fan belt, or a failing water pump or thermostat. Let it cool completely before opening anything, then check the coolant level and blow out the radiator screen. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
I think there’s water in my diesel fuel. What do I do?
Water gets in from condensation, bad fuel or a leaky cap, and it causes rough running, loss of power and stalling. Drain the water separator on the fuel filter if your machine has one, and don’t keep running it if it’s sputtering. Call or text us at 520-205-1247. We come to you.
Situations We Handle
Monsoon or flood damaged equipment
If your machine sat in water or mud after a monsoon storm, don’t try to start it. Water in the engine, fuel or hydraulics can do real damage. We inspect it on site, drain and change fluids, and get it running again.
Equipment after a fire
We check wiring, hoses and seals after a fire and repair what’s damaged. Our diesel burner heated power washing and ultrasonic parts cleaning help clean off soot and residue.
Weekend emergency repair
Machines break down on weekends too. Call or text and we’ll get out to you as fast as we can.
Ranch equipment
Tractors, loaders, skid steers and other ranch machines. We come out to your ranch or property.
Tractor repair for homeowners
You don’t need a big fleet. We work on tractors and small equipment for homeowners and small property owners too.
